Click on
Tools → Block Edit
Each of the block edit option and its functions are given below.
Relocate to another page
: Tool to move selected block to another page.Select this function tool and click on the workspace. A phantom block is tagged to the cursor. Drag the block to enclose the objects. Now, select the required page from Pages toolbar. Place the block at the required position and click. You find that the objects enclosed within the block will be moved to the page selected.
Relocate by Vector
: Tool to relocate selected components by vector specification. Use options to end the selection of components and to relocate components in block.Select this function tool and click on the components to be relocated. Clicking again on a selected component deselects it. A filled arrow by the side of the components indicates that the component is selected. The components may be selected in block, if the option Select Components in Block is enabled. The selection of components is terminated using the option End Component Selection. Now click on the component pin, relative to which relocation is to be done. The pin gets marked with a circle. Move the cursor to the required location and click. On releasing the mouse button, the selected components get relocated and also the traces get re-routed to the new location.
Delete
: Tool to delete required objects in block. Use options to delete components, wires and bending points.Select this function tool and enable the required option(s) and enclose the required items in a block. A confirmation box pops up to confirm the deletion.
Block Lock
: Tool to enable relocation of selected block.Select this function tool and enclose the components to be locked in a block. The enclosed components get locked at the current position.
Block Unlock
: Tool to disable relocation of selected block.Select this function tool and enclose the components to be unlocked in a block. The enclosed components are unlocked from their locked positions.
Block pack/unpack/repack
: Tool provides options to pack/unpack/repack components in block.
Block pack
: Select this function tool alone to pack the components in a block.
Note
: Block Pack do not require the selection of option tool.
Block Unpack
: Option to unpack components in block.Select this option tool and enclose the components to be unpacked in a block. The enclosed components get unpacked.
Block repack
: Option to refresh selected block's packaging texts according to latest settings.Select this option tool and enclose the components to be repacked in a block. The enclosed components are repacked according to the packaging preferences set in
Project Explorer | Options | Packaging Preferences

Copy Block
: Tool to copy block. Use options to copy the block rotated by 90° in the anti-clockwise direction, rotate the block by any angle (in steps of angle specified in the AngleSnap combo box) and to merge nets in block to existing nets with the same name. Whenever block of schematics is copied and pasted, the program subsequently switches to Layout Editor allowing to relocate corresponding block of layout (if there was any already edited) to its destination on the PCB. Select this function tool and enclose the area of the circuit to be copied in a block. A block gets tagged to the cursor that represents the copied portion of the circuit. Move the cursor to the required location and click to place the block.
Save Block
: Tool to save block.Select this function tool and enclose the required area of the circuit in a block. A Save Block File dialog box pops up where the file name may be entered. The path and file name is entered. The file gets saved with an extension *.ESB.
Load Block
: Tool to load block saved previously. Use options to load the block rotated by 90° in the anti-clockwise direction, rotate the block by any angle (in steps of angle specified in the AngleSnap combo box) and to merge nets in block to existing nets with the same name.Select this function tool and click on the workspace. A dialog box Select Block File to Load pops up from which any previously saved block (*.ESB) may be selected. On clicking OK, the cursor returns to the workspace with the block tagged to it. Move the cursor to the required location and click to place the block.
