Logic Analyzer enables the user to obtain the results of an Analysis in text format (decimal/hexadecimal/binary) in the place of a graphical output. The results can be viewed at any instant during the simulation.
Select EDSpice/Mixed Mode Simulator from Preferences .Select Simulation menu | Run Transient Analysis (Logic Analyzer) .
or from the Simulation Toolbar by selecting the button
Select the nature of the variable from the Dropdown titled Variable. Enter suitable value for Step Time, say 1µs. Select a suitable Word Size, say 8 bit. Now select the variables which have to be recorded one by one and press the key for each, the selected net will now move to the right pane. Now run the Start Simulation button to run the analysis. The values will be recorded in the tabular grid. Press the button to view the values one step time (here 1µs) at a time. The simulation can be stopped by pressing the . The window looks like as shown below
The messages seen in the lower right of the window can be enabled by selecting the button on the toolbar. The values may be saved into two formats namely .pwl (PWL Source Output File) using the button and .dgs (Digital Source File) using the button .
