Mixed Mode Simulation Model Generator
MM Simulation Model Generator enables to generate models of digital and analog circuit elements.
For creating models of digital elements, generator processess logic function defined in VHDL or in the form of truth table. The function of analog elements may be very precisely described in so-called SPICE netlist format. Therefore the source for analog model generation is ASCII file containing SPICE sub-circuit.This tool serves the purpose of making simulation much faster
1. Starting
MMSimulation Model Generator
2. Select
MMSimulation Model Generator
from the task list or task toolbar of Project Explorer.
OR
1. Select
MMSimulation Model Generator
from the floating menu that appears on right clicking System.
2. A window titled
Model Generator for Mixed Mode Simulator
appears
The required model type (analog or digital) can be selected from the tab -
‘Select model type’
as shown below
Global Parameters
1. On clicking
Add Parameters
, a dialog titled
Set Global Parameter
appears.
2. Select a value from the dropdown list for Function, Transition, Control net and Test net, enter a value for Timing and then press
Apply
.
3. Once parameters are entered, the menu items Remove Parameter and Remove all parameters become active in the
Global Parameters
window.
4. Once the global parameters are set, the
Gate Parameters
may also be set.
5. Once Gate parameters are set, press the Build button to compile the DLL. If you would like to make more changes to your model, the Visual C++ source files contained in the Output Path can be edited. After editing the files, compile the DLL and copy it to the
\Lib
folder.
