Schematic Symbol : LEDDISP
Simcode : 12100
This model shows a 7-Segment LED Display that operates both in common anode and common cathode mode.
This instrument model is grouped under ‘Instruments’ category in the Schematic Browser.
How to simulate:
Invoke Mixed Mode simulator from EDWinXP Schematic Editor -> Preferences menu.
The model is connected to the driver module and physical connections are made. The LED Display will function only if ‘BNK’ pin is set to High.
The simulation parameters are then assigned by selecting Tools menu-> Instruments-> Component Properties -> Change Simulation
Parameter and then clicking on the model.
The mode (Common Anode or Common Cathode) is specified.
On clicking Setup, a window pops up. This window can be resized as required.
The value displayed in the LED display depends on the signals given to the pins (a to g) of the model by the driver module.
To simulate the model which is connected to the driver module, select Simulation menu -> Analysis -> Transient analysis OR
Oscillograph OR Logic Analyzer.
The output will be displayed in the LED Display.
